1. What GDPR is

The GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) is the European legal framework for personal data protection. It sets principles such as lawfulness, transparency, data minimisation, accuracy, storage limitation, integrity and accountability of the controller.

This page briefly explains your rights on Furnizo. Details on what data we process and why are in the Privacy Policy.

2. Who the controller is

Data controller for the Furnizo platform:

When you place an order, the supplier may be an independent controller for data it uses as seller (delivery, invoice). Furnizo sends the supplier the data needed to fulfil the order.

3. Data categories

Depending on use, we process: account data, identification/billing, addresses, phone/email, order data, vendor data, support communications, technical data (IP, browser, logs) and cashback-related data. The full list is in the Privacy Policy.

5. Your rights

Within the limits of the law, you have the following rights:

Right of access

You may ask whether we process data about you and request a copy of relevant data, with information on purposes and recipients.

Right to rectification

You may ask us to correct inaccurate data. Many details can be updated directly in your account (profile, addresses, preferences).

Right to erasure

You may ask for deletion when data is no longer needed, you withdrew consent or processing is unlawful — subject to legal retention duties (for example order/billing records).

Right to restriction

You may ask us to limit processing in the situations set out in the GDPR (for example while accuracy is being verified).

Right to portability

For data you provided based on contract or consent and that we process by automated means, you may ask for transmission in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format, where applicable.

Right to object

You may object to processing based on legitimate interest, on grounds relating to your particular situation. For direct email marketing, you may unsubscribe at any time.

Automated decisions / profiling

Furnizo uses platform rules (for example order statuses, cashback eligibility, account health indicators based on order outcomes). We do not operate a solely automated decision-making system with significant legal effects such as credit scoring. If this changes, we will update the legal documents.

Withdrawal of consent

Where processing is based on consent (for example newsletter), you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

6. How to submit a request

Email your GDPR request to office@furnizo.ro, stating:

  • your name and Furnizo account email (if you have one);
  • which right you wish to exercise;
  • enough detail to identify the data concerned.

You may also use the contact page. We do not promise an automated in-account export/deletion portal beyond the features already available on the platform.

7. Response time

We respond, in principle, within one month of receiving a valid request. In complex cases the period may be extended by up to two further months, with notice to you, as allowed by the GDPR.

8. Identity verification

To protect your data, we may ask for additional information to confirm that the request comes from the data subject (for example confirmation from a signed-in account or other reasonable evidence).

9. Complaints

You may lodge a complaint with the Romanian National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP) or another competent EU authority if you believe processing infringes your rights.

10. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect data (HTTPS, access control, hashed passwords). More detail is in the Privacy Policy.
